BC Hostel Welfare Officers Grade 2 Recruitment Notification in Andhra Pradesh 2011

Department of Backward Classes Welfare, Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced notification for the recruitment of candidates for the posts of Hostel Welfare Officers (HWO) Grade II (male and female). Selected candidates will be appointed on regular basis in the pay scale of Rs. 10900 - 31550. Selection of the candidates will be based on the written examination. Following are details of posts, eligibility and application procedure:

Hostel Welfare Officers in AP Backward Classes Social Welfare Hostels: 15 posts (OC - 5, SC- 3, ST- 2, BC-A - 2, BC B- 1, BC E- 1, Visually Handicapped - 1). Educational Qualifications: Applicants should have Graduation in any discipline and B.Ed. qualification. Age should be between 18 - 39 years as on 01st July 2011.

Selection of the candidates will be based on written examinatin consists of following subjects and marks:
1) Politics, Economy, History, Geography, Science, etc: 75 marks
2) General English: 25 marks
3) Test of Reasoning: 25 marks
4) Current Affairs and Aptitude: 25 marks

Questions will be in the level of Graduation and B.Ed. School Assistants model. Maximum marks for the written exam is 150 and questions will be in objective multiple choice type only. Duration of the exam is 3 hours.

Application fee is Rs. 150 (Rs. 75 for SC and ST candidates) to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of District BC Welfare Officer, Hyderabad district.
