Intelligence Bureau- Junior Intelligence Officers and PA Recruitment 2011

Intelligence Bureau (IB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has announced recruitment notification 2011 for the posts of Personal Assistant (A) and Junior Intelligence Officer Grade- II (Wireless Telegraphy) and Junior Intelligence Officer Grade - II (Electronics Data Processing). There are 262 vacancies in total and they are distributed as per the details given below. All the posts are filled through direct recruitment on temporary basis and likely to be continued. Selection of the candidates will be based on performance in written test, skill test and / or interview. Following are details of vacancies, eligibility and application procedure:

1) Personal Assistant (P.A.): 58 posts (UR-30, OBC-12, SC-10, ST-06); Educational Qualification: Applicants should have Matriculation along with proficiency in Stenography of 100 words per minute. Knowledge of computer operation is a desirable qualification. Pay Scale: Rs. 9300- 34800/- with GP of Rs.4600/- and allowance as per Central Govt. rates.

2) Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II (Wireless Telegraphy): 198 posts (UR-110, OBC-47, SC-30, ST-11); Educational Qualification: Candidates should have Matriculation in Physics and Mathematics along with two years Industrial Training Institute (ITI) pass certificate in any of these trades: Electronic Mechanic / Mechanic (Radio and TV) / Information Technology and Electronic System maintenance / Electrician / Mechanic Computer Hardware/ Mechanic cum operator of Electronic Communication system. Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200/- with GP of Rs.2400/- .

3) Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II (Electronics Data Processing): 06 posts (UR-03, OBC-02, SC-01); Educational Qualification: Applicants should have 12th Standard pass or equivalent. They should have undergone training in computer operations for at least three months and need data entry skills with a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour. Pay Scale: Rs.5200- 20200/- with GP of Rs.2400/-.

Written test will consist of questions from General English/ Hindi and Essay writing (Descriptive type). There will be objective type multiple choice test on Mathematical aptitude, General Awareness, English Language, Reasoning, General Knowledge etc. Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 30th October 2011.
