ICAR-CAZRI Jodhpur Project Workers, SRF Positions 2011

Central Arid Zone Research Institute (CAZRI), Jodhpur (Rajasthan)- an institute of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is conducting Walk In Interviews for the appointment of Project Workers and Senior Research Fellows (SRFs). The selected candidates will have to work in the project titled 'Vulnerability assessment and adaptation strategies for agriculture in respect of climate change in arid western India' (NICRA) CAZRI, Jodhpur. All the vacancies are purely temporary. Following are details of posts, eligibility and walk in schedules:

1) Name of Post: Project Workers : 14 (Fourteen) posts; Consolidated remuneration: Rs. 6,500/- per month. Educational Qualification: Applicants should have B.Sc. with Biology, Chemistry, B.Sc. Agriculture., Horticulture and Graduate in computers. Duration of the post: Upto 31 March 2013 or till the expiry of the scheme whichever is earlier. The post is purely temporary. Date of walk-in-interview : 10th August 2011 at 10.30 AM.

2) Name of Post: Senior Research Fellow (SRF): 5 (Five) posts; Fine posts are available in different specialisations described below. Emoluments: Rs. 16,000/- pm and HRA as applied. Duration is upto 31st March 2013 or till the expiry of the scheme. Posts are purely temporary only. There is one position available in each of the specialisation mentioned below. Educational Qualification are different for various positions. Following are those details:

A) For SRF (Modelling / Meteorology): Should have M.Sc. Meteorology/ Botany/ Biostatistics / Environmental Science and Allied Disciplines with 1st Division or 60 percent marks.

B) For SRF (Horticulture / Entomology) : Applicants need M.Sc. Horticulture/ Entomology/ Agriculture with specialization in entomology with minimum 1st Division or 60 percent marks.

C) For SRF (Agronomy): Candidates should have M.Sc. Agronomy/ Botany/ Agriculture with experience in carbon sequestration with at least 60 percent marks.

D) For SRF (Animal Science / LPM): Applicants should have M.Sc. Animal Science with specialization in LPM with at least 60 percent marks.

E) For SRF (Plant Science): Candidates need M.Sc. Botany with specialization in Plant Physiology / Agriculture with minimum 60 percent marks. 

Applicants age must be below 35 years for men and 40 years for women candidates as on the date of walk-in-interview. Date of walk-in-interview for SRF posts is on 20th August 2011 at 10.30 AM.

SDMA Punjab Recruitment 2011 for Disaster Response Programme

State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA), Punjab has announced recruitment notification 2011 for the posts of District Response Center Professionals, Disaster Management Coordinators, Media Manager, Accountant, Statistical Analyst and Web Designer. All the vacancies will be filled on contract basis only. Selected candidates will have to work under Capacity Building for Disaster Response Programme. Following are details of vacancies, pay scales, eligibility and application procedure for various positions:

1) District Response Centre Professionals: 30 Posts; Salary: Rs.16000 per month; Eligibility: Applicants should have B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / Post Graduation in Disaster Management / Computer Applications / Statistics / Geo-Information System / Information Technology / Remote Sensing. Age should be between 21-35 years.

2) Disaster Management Coordinators: 11 Posts; Salary: Rs.16000 per month; Eligibility: Candidates should have Post Graduation in Disaster Management. Age should be between 21-35 years.

3) Media Manager: 1 Post; Salary: Rs.20000 per month; Eligibility: Candidates need degree in Journalism / Mass Communication. Age must be between 18-35 years.

4) Accountant: 1 Post; Salary: Rs.16000 per month; Eligibility: Applicants should have B.Com. with at least 50 percent marks along with working knowledge of accounting and Tally Software. Age must be between 18-35 years.

5) Statistical Analyst: 1 Post; Salary: Rs.16000 per month; Eligibility: Candidates should have M.Sc Statistics with proficiency in computers. Age should be between 21-35 years.

6) Web Designer: 1 Post; Salary: Rs.20000 per month; Eligibility: Applicants with B.Tech in Computers along with with Diploma in Dot Net can apply. Age should be between 21-35 years.

APPSC Download Hall Tickets for Junior Analysts, Scientific Officer Exams 2011

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (AAPSC) has announced dates for the following competitive examinations. Candidates can download hall tickets for these examinations from APPSC website www.apspsc.gov.in

The APPSC has also announced that applicants who have applied online for the posts of Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) in response to notification numbers 17/2010 and 5/2011 can check their application status on the APPSC website www.apspsc.gov.in. Details of rejected applications have been displayed on the website. Candidates can express their objections for such rejections through its website online by 7th August 2011. Rejected candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
