NGRI-CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Interns Awards 2011-12

National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI - CSIR), Hyderabad inviting applications from interested meritorious Indian candidates who desire to pursue scientific research under the Scheme 'CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Interns Awards'. This is an excellent opportunity for M.Sc. and M.Tech candidates to get an internship from a reputed research organization line NGRI. The Internship is intended for young researchers. Following are details of positions, eligibility and application procedure:

CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Interns Awards: 20 Positions. Selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs. 15000 per month. Duration of the internship is 2 years and will not be extended under any circumstances. The performance of the internee will be evaluated for every six months. Age must be below 25 years as on the last date for the receipt of filled applications.

Field of Specialisations: Applied Geophysics / Marine Geophysics/ Geophysics / Geology / Applied Geology Applied Geochemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry / Applied Mathematics/ Analytical Chemistry/ Computational Seismology / Physics / Mathematics.

Essential Qualifications: Applicants should have 1st Class or equivalent GPA in M.Sc / M.Sc (Tech) / M.Tech. Selection of the candidates will be based on overall academic records and / or performance in a written examination (if required) and personal interview.

Application should contain details like Advertisement number (No. NGRI-INTERNS/2011/Rectt.), Position code, Full name, Date of birth, Age as on 30/08/2011, Sex, Category (SC/ST/OBC/PH), Father’s name, Educational qualifications, Full correspondence address, E-mail ID and any other relevant information.
