RRC Chennai Recruitment Notification 2012 for 2461 Group D Vacancies

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) ,Chennai has issued a notification for recruitment of 2461 posts in specified categories of Southern Railway. Those candidates who are eligible may apply for the posts through prescribed application format provided by the Authority, and for other details like age limit, educational qualification, selection process and how to apply for these positions please kindly read below information as per the advertisement.

1. Sweeper-cum-Porter – 482 vacancies
2. Trackman – 1003 vacancies
3. Helper Gr II – 784 vacancies
4. Safaiwala – 94 vacancies
5. Peon – 22 vacancies
6. Trackman/Mali/Helper Gr II/Vendor/Peon/Sanitary Cleaner – 76 vacancies

Age Limit: Candidates’ age must not be less than 18 years and must not be more than 33 years. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-01-2013 and age relaxations will be extended as per Govt. rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be pass outs in 10th standard or must possess ITI or equivalent examination.

Application Fees: Unreserved and OBC applicants need to pay application fee of Rs. 40/-. SC/ST/EXSM/PWD/Women/Minority candidates/Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of fee. Fee must be in form of Demand Draft / Pay Order from any Nationalized Bank, or crossed Indian Postal Order from any Post Office drawn in favor of “Assistant Personnel Officer(Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Southern Railway” payable at Chennai.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Medical Examination.

How to Apply: Candidates need to download application format available in the notification or website of this office, fill it with all mandatory details, attach photograph, attest signature, affix left thumb impression, super scribe ‘Application for recruitment to posts in pay band – 1 with grade pay of Rs. 1,800/- in southern railway & ICF’ on the envelope and send it along with payment receipt and Copies of all relevant certificates.
