NIRD Adjunct Faculty and Project Officer Jobs 2011

National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad has announced notification for the posts of project officers for its projects sponsored by Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India. NIRD is a dedicated institute functioning in the field of rural development. Selected candidates will be paid a remuneration of Rs. 25000 per month under sponsored projects. NIRD is also recruiting candidates for the positions of adjunct faculty to conduct training, research and consultancy services in various areas of the discipline of agriculture. Following are details of posts, eligibility and application procedure:

1) Project Officers: Two Posts; Qualifications: Applicants should have any one of these qualifications: MBA (Marketing), M.A (Social Work), MSW BSC, MSC (Agriculture); Experience: Candidates should have minimum 5-6 years experience in rural development department. Candidates with work experience in Community Based Organizations, experience in handling Agri NTFPs and working in Tribal areas will be preferred. 

Selection will be initially for a period of 6 months or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier. Extension of the tenure can be considered based on performance and projects requirement. All the positions are short term project positions on contract basis. 2) Domain Experts as Adjunct Faculty: Candidates are required in the fields or specialised areas of Rural Institutions, Good Governance and Decentralized Planning, Natural Resource Management, Poverty Alleviation, Micro-planning, Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Resources Development, Rural Technologies, Rural Micro-enterprises, Community/Social Mobilization and Social Audit etc. Qualification: Applicants should have Post Graduation in relevant subject. Candidates need Ph.D. or equivalent domain experience in the relevant subject or theme. Candidates with relevant proven experience will be preferred.
