Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced huge recruitment notification for Engineering Graduates

This is a wonderful opportunity for Engineering candidates who are going to appear for GATE 2012. BHEL is recruiting 800 (eight hundred) Engineer Trainees for requirements at plants located across the country. BHEL is India's premier engineering company with Navaratna status. Interested candidates have to apply online through www.bhel.com / careers.bhel.in between 4th January 2012 to 28th January 2012. Vacancies are available in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Candidates must appear and qualify in GATE 2012. Applicants age should be below 27 years as on the prescribed date. Candidates must secure minimum 65 percent marks in B.Tech. / B.E. or its equivalent examination. Relaxations apply as per the rules. Those selected as Engineer Trainee (ET) will get a stipend of Rs. 20600 per month. NTPC has also issued recruitment notification for Graduate Engineers with GATE scores. 

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in all India level written test and personal interview. Date of written test will be announced later. Written Examination for BHEL Engineer Trainee recruitment will be in objective multiple choice type and questions will be in English and Hindi languages. Those qualified in written test will be short listed for personal interviews in the ratio of 1:3 in the order of merit ans also considering the available number of vacancies. Written test will be conducted in following centres (tentative): Hyderabad, Nagpur, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Varanasi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Kanpur, Chennai, Haridwar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Tiruchirapalli and Delhi. 

Following are the educational qualifications required for above mentioned vacancies.

1) Mechanical Engineering Posts: 550 vacancies; Qualifications: BE / B.Tech in any of these: Thermal Engineering/ Power Plant Engineering/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical Production and Tool Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Production and Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Process and Automation/ Manufacturing Technology/ Industrial and Production Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Production Technology Manufacturing Engineering (NIFFT Ranchi).

2) Electrical Engineering Vacancies: 175 posts; Qualifications: BE / B.Tech in any of these branches: Electrical and Electronics / Power Electronics/ Electrical Engineering/ High Voltage Engineering/ Power Plant Engineering / Electrical Machine/ Energy / Electrical, Instrumentation and Control / Electronics and Power / Power Systems and High Voltage Engineering.

3) Electronics Engineering Jobs: 75 posts; Qualifications: BE / B.Tech in any of these branches: Applied Electronics / Electrical and Electronics/ Industrial Electronics / Electronics Engineering / Electronics and Instrumentation/ Instrumentation/ Power Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Electronics and Power / Electronics Design and Technology/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Electronics and Biomedical / Electronics and Communication / Electronics and Control.

BHEL will use GATE 2012 scores for shortlisting the candidates for interviews. 75 percent weightage will be given for GATE 2012 scores and 25 percent for interviews.
