Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Ajmer has announced recruitment notification 2011 for the posts of School Lecturers / Professors (School Education - Secondary Education Examination) in the following subjects. RPSC is inviting online applications for the teaching vacancies through official websites at http://www.rpsc.gov.in OR rpsconlinre.rajasthan.gov.in . Selection of the candidates will be based on performance in Competitive Examination carrying 450 marks. Following are details of vacancies, eligibility, scheme of competitive exam and application procedure: School Lecturers / Professors: 838 Posts. Subject wise break up of posts: Urdu: 2 Posts; English: 167 Posts; Commerce: 268 Posts; Chemistry: 134 Posts; Mathematics: 51 Posts; Biology: 82 Posts; Physics: 134 Posts.; Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200. Age should be between 21 to 35 years as on 1st July 2011. Educational Qualifications: Applicants should have Degree or Diploma in the concerned subject with at least second class marks. For other eligibility requirements, see official website mentioned above. Selection of the candidates will be through written examination to be conducted across Rajasthan. There will be two papers in the Competitive Examination. These are: 1) Paper I: General awareness and General Studies (For 150 marks with 1 hour duration)
2) Paper II: Subject Concerned (For 300 marks with 3 hours duration)Scheme of Examination and Syllabus: The examination shall carry a total of 450 marks. All the questions in both the Papers will be Multiple Choice Objective Type questions. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. Following is the nature and scheme of the Competitive Examination: Paper - I Scheme of the Examination:1) History of Rajasthan and Indian History with special emphasis on Indian National Movement: 15 questions for 30 marks
2) Mental Ability Test, Statistics (Secondary Level), Mathematics (Secondary Level), Language Ability Test : Hindi, English : 20 questions for 40 marks
3) Current affairs: 10 questions for 20 marks
4) General Science, Indian Polity, Geography of Rajasthan : 15 questions for 30 marks
5) Educational Management, Educational Scenario in Rajasthan, Right to Education Act, 2009 : 15 questions for 30 marks Paper- II Scheme of the Examination:1) Knowledge of Subject Concerned: Senior Secondary Level : 55 questions for 110 marks
2) Knowledge of Subject Concerned: Graduation Level : 55 questions for 110 marks
3) Knowledge of Subject Concerned: Post Graduation Level : 10 questions for 20 marks
4) Educational Psychology, Pedagogy, Teaching Learning Material, Use of Computers and Information Technology in Teaching Learning: 30 questions for 60 marks.
