Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Dehradun (Uttarakhand) announced recruitment notification 2011 for the posts of Scientist - B

Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Dehradun (Uttarakhand) announced recruitment notification 2011 for the posts of Scientist - B in the Pay Scale of PB-3:-Rs.15,600- 39,100 with Grade Pay Rs.5,400/- p.m.along with other allowances and perks. ICFRE is functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. Selected candidates will have to conduct research in the concerned field of forestry in ICFRE Institutes. Following are details of posts, eligibility and application procedure:

Scientist - B: 13 vacancies (Unreserved- 06, Reserved for SC-03, ST- 02, OBC-01 and PH- 01). Following are the distribution of posts for various specialisations:

1) SFE (Forest Ecology): 03 posts, Essential Qualification: Applicants should have First class M.Sc. degree in Forestry /
Botany / Environmental Science with specialization in Forest Ecology /Ecology OR Should have First class M.Sc. degree in Natural
Science/ Life Sciences/ Environment Management with specialization in Forest Ecology / Ecology.

2) SEM (Environment Management): 02 posts; Essential Qualification: Candidates should have First class M.Sc. in Environment
Management / Environment Science with specialization in Environmental Economics.

3) SCT (Chemistry) : 01 post; Qualification: Candidates should have First class M.Sc. degree in Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry.

4) SSTS (Statistics): 01 post; Qualification: Applicants should have First class M.Sc in Statistics / Applied Statistics with specialization
in Experimental Designs/ Sampling Techniques/ Statistical Modeling. OR They should have First class M.Sc. (Agriculture) Statistics/
M.A. Statistics.

5) SIT (Information Technology): 01 post; Essential Qualification: Applicants should have first class B.E./ B. Tech. Computer Science 
OR should have First class in Master of Computer Applications.

6) SHYD (Hydrology): 05 posts; Essential Qualification: Candidates should have First class M.Sc. in Water Resources/ Hydrology/ Soil and Water Conservation Engineering / Geohydrology OR Need First class B.E/B. Tech. in Agricultural Engineering/ Civil
Engineering/ Environmental Engineering with specialization in Water Resources/ Hydrology/ Soil and Water Conservation/ Geo-hydrology.

Candidates with Ph.D. Degree in concerned subject / specialisation are preferable. Interested and eligible candidates can download application format from the website www.cftri.org.
